Sanctuary The present sanctuary was constructed on this site in 1851. Although many modifications and improvements have followed, the original structure has been continuously used for worship by the congregation for over one hundred fifty years. The seating capacity of 360 is the largest of any church in the county. A sound system provides amplification for voice and music throughout the sanctuary and special headsets for the hearing impaired. The music experience is enhanced by [description of organ and piano]. The addition includes a full commercial kitchen which is in frequent use by the congregation but can be used by local citizens and organizations for meetings and functions. Church Parlor The Sarah Caston Building was an early renovation which provided needed space for meetings and other activities. In 1998 it was again renovated to provide office and classroom spaces and a formal parlor to accommodate special gatherings. The ornate and period furnishings were carefully selected and donated by members of the congregation in memory or honor of congregants. The parlor will seat 40 guests, has kitchen facilities and is approved for use only for special occasions usually involving members of the church.
