When I was out dining with my family in Florence during Annual Conference, a pastor of one of the largest United Methodist churches in the state approached us and told us how much we would like FUMC and Cheraw. He could not have been more correct.
My family is very excited to be living in Cheraw and becoming a member of this faith community. What has made the biggest difference in our move has been the generous hospitality you have displayed. You have warmly welcomed us and made us feel at home. You have told us over and over again how glad you are that we are here, and that is so very comforting to hear.
Lillie, Sophie, PJ and I want to thank you for providing us with all the wonderful cakes, pies, barbecue, bread, vegetables, etc. We also want to thank the UMW for the “pounding” which supplied our refrig-erator and kitchen shelves.
Your extended welcome to me and my family has been amazing. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
