Five days into their journey through the Holy Land, Paul reads a passage from 1 Samuel which recounts the story of David fleeing King Saul to an osasis known as En Gedi. Paul was reading scripture to the group as they stood at this rare fresh water spring along the western shore of the Dead Sea called “Spring of the Kid” or En Gedi where three thousand years before David had sought refuge.
