It is with regret that we say goodbye to Brandon and Rebekah toward the end of this month following their nearly two year service to First Methodist and its youth. In his letter of resignation, the Director of Youth and Children’s Ministries spoke of his joy in working with the youth of the church during the last two years and the difficulty of this decision.
Through his affable disposition, energetic personality, sincere manner and devout faith, Brandon quickly gained the confidence and respect of the youth he mentored. In so doing, he has been able to thoughtfully and constructively direct the spiritual lives of many young people in this community as they grew in their faith. Rebekah’s presence in the nursery and her participation in many aspects of the youth ministry will be missed as well.
Our prayers and our best wishes accompany the Buchanans as they return to the Orlando area to pursue new challenges.
