The Christmas Eve service will begin at 6 pm in the sanctuary and will include the lighting of the Christ candle, seasonal Old Testament, Epistle and Gospel readings, an offering which will benefit the Pee Dee Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Assault, a message of joy and hope and many traditional hymns.

At a recent Wednesday-At-The-First evening activity, FUMC youth prepared six boxes for delivery abroad to children during the Christmas season as a part of Operation Shoebox.
The poinsettias in the sanctuary have been purchased by the flower fund. If you would like for one of these plants to bear your name in memory or in honor of someone this season, they may be purchased by contacting the church office at 537-7002.
The First Methodist PreSchool Four Year Old class is getting into the Christmas spirit by conducting a food drive. The children will be collecting canned goods for the next couple weeks and then will go on a field trip to deliver the goods by wagon to the McArn Food Bank for Christmas distribution. You can …

Last Sunday evening Patti Rollings offered a one-night class in line dancing to local adults and youth. More than twenty attended to learn a few new steps and to benefit the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund.
The congregation is invited to a catered luncheon following the 11 am worship service on Sunday, November 17 in the fellowship hall. If you did not indicate your intent to attend this meal during the Nov 10 service, please call the church office by Wednesday to advise the caterer.
