The Fall Men’s BBQ is just around the corner on October 18.  You can now pick up tickets from Angie in the church office to sell to your friends, neighbors and colleagues.

Show your school colors…high school, college or pro…this Sunday evening in the First Methodist parking lot.  Enjoy the tailgating experience by bringing lawn chairs, finger foods, soft drinks and balls to toss.  The festivities begin at 5 pm and last until 7.

The Annual Conference has established a goal of collecting one million NEW books for preschool through elementary age children.  The books will be collected through the churches in our conference.  These books will be distributed to children in poverty in our state that do not have books of their own.   A box is located in …

Pick up a ticket from the church office, a member of the Missions Team or at the door for only $5 for a pancake breakfast at Fatz Cafe on Saturday morning, August 30 from 8-10 am at support First Methodist’s Red Bird Mission trip to Kentucky scheduled for later this year.

Over 60 volunteers showed up Sunday evening in the fellowship hall for a two hour project that packaged meals for school children in underdeveloped nations.  Using $2900 in donations collected locally, local volunteers were guided by members of the organization Stop Hunger Now in packaging nutritional meals for children in over 30 countries worldwide.  The …
