During the March 17 worship service, scholarships were awarded to eight local students. Each of the awards was established in past years in memory of a church member with the proceeds of the endowment awarded annually to students in the area attending two or four year accredited colleges or universities. This year’s recipients, pictured above (l to r), are: Noah Williams (Clemson), the Charlie Scott Laney, Jr. Scholarship; Tajee Turner (Clemson), the Lucy Brasington Scholarship; Savannah Ange (Lander), the Hubert B Norton Scholarship; Benson Stubbs (Clemson), the Anne Watson Eutsler Scholarship; Chrisa Murray (Winthrop), the Stephen Scott Burr Scholarship; Ximena Perez (Winthrop), the Dr. Maxcy Hook Scholarship; and not pictured, Greer Eddins (USC), the F Garland Street Scholarship and Carolina Crouse (Clemson), the C Anthony & Jean L Harris Scholarship.
