WAFT students create candles to represent “a light unto the world”

FUMC youth participating in a Wednesday-At-The-First learning activity where each made a personal candle that served as a metaphor for Christ being a light for the world, read verses from Matthew about illuminating the darkness and discussed how each could himself or herself be a light to others.  Wednesday-At-The-First is a weekly gathering for adults and children at First Methodist.  A meal is served from 5:30 to 6:30 and during the next hour the adults, older youth and children (K-5) have separate lessons addressing some aspect of Biblical teachings.
