If you would like to give an “in memory” gift to FUMC, you may designate it to any of these specific areas:
Contingency Fund – serves as an emergency fund under the discretion of the Finance Committee and Trustees
Endowment Fund – the “long term savings account” of the church in which only the accumulated interest is available for expenditure
Memorial Fund – a fund used for addressing relative small but significant needs within the church
Music Fund – supports the ongoing music ministry of the church
Adult Exercise Class – supports this community outreach activity
Salkehatchie Summer Service – provides supplies and materials for this annual mission work in the upstate
Bus Fund – provides for maintenance and repairs of the church bus
Youth Ministries – funds activities associated with the youth programs of FUMC
Children’s Ministries – supports the ongoing ministries for children within the church
Building Upkeep Fund – funds special projects associated with building maintenance
Parsonage Upkeep Fund – funds special projects associated with maintenance of the parsonage
Grounds Upkeep Fund – supports special projects associated with maintaining the church grounds
Pastor’s Discretionary Fund – provides discretionary funds for use of the pastor in addressing the emergency needs of individuals and families within the community
Named Scholarships – funds are added to the endowment of one or more of the eight named scholarships awarded annually
